Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management
Introduction
The objective of the SACL Level 4 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management qualification is to support learners’ development as managers within the tourism and hospitality industry.
The Level 4 units introduce relevant Tourism and Hospitality topics that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application. The qualification will provide learners with the knowledge and skills in the areas of academic and research skills, the tourism and hospitality business environment, the development of the tourism and hospitality industry, services marketing, consumer behaviour, sustainability in tourism and hospitality and event management.
Successful completion of this qualification will support learners progressing to university, and to provide learners with the requisite skills and knowledge to enter the world of work in their chosen sector.
Delivery Mode
The qualification is designed to be delivered over one academic year for full-time study, but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time and distance learning. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, distance, online by approved centres only.

This qualification is designed for learners who are typically aged 18 and above.
Entry Criteria
SACL requires no prior qualifications to study Level 4 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The SACL Level 4 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management of 6 mandatory units for a combined total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.
